Protesters marched against police violence in cities from New York to Boston on April 29, 2015, as troops stood by in Baltimore to enforce a curfew imposed after civil unrest over the death of a 25-year-old black man Freddie Gray.

March 31, 2015 - Nashua, New Hampshire, United States: Former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley campaigns at New Hampshire Young Democrats social hour at the Margaritas basement lounge.
April 6, 2015 - Hollis, New Hampshire, United States: Dr. Ben Carson campaigns at Hollis Pharmacy. Carson is a columnist and retired neurosurgeon redited with being the first surgeon to successfully separate conjoined twins joined at the head. In 2008, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush. After delivering a widely publicized speech at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast, he became a popular figure in conservative media for his views on social issues and the federal government. He is a presumed Republican presidential candidate in 2016.
March 13, 2015: Hudson, New Hampshire USA: Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush attending a house party. Jeb Bush visits New Hampshire this weekend, making his inaugural 2016 trip to the first-in-the-nation primary state ahead his expected presidential campaign.

April 8, 2015 - Milford, New Hampshire, United States: Republican Presidential candidate, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) talks at the historic town hall in the 'Live Free or Die' state. Paul announced his candidacy on April 7 in Kentucky. In recent New Hampshire primary polls, Paul has placed third among likely Republican voters behind former governor Jeb Bush of Florida and Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin. But on the ground, Paul inherits some of the grassroots network from his father’s past two presidential campaigns, giving him a head start over his rivals.
March 12, 2015 - Concord, New Hampshire, United States: Former Texas Governor Rick Perry plays with Chester, Golden retriever at Weed Automotive. Perry has yet to declare his plans for his possible run for President in 2016, but a handful of his former aides and allies launched a super PAC that can raise and spend unlimited amounts of money on his behalf.

OUTVets became the first LGBTQ Veterans organization to march in the Parade.
Liberia

I travelled to Liberia last December and March with FACE Africa. During my stay, I got to know Liberia and Liberian people.
To get to witness people's lives is a privilege. I am grateful for every assignment I get, to drop in to people's life, and I am more grateful when they receive me. Now it's my turn to tell a story about people I meet. I am not a writer. But I can show you my experience through my photographs. Please keep them in your prayer during this difficult time.

Kpor Town, Liberia
in Liberia
I am working in Kpor town, Liberia with FACE Africa, Non-Profit Organization. FACE Africa funds and supports sustainable clean water, sanitation and hygiene projects in Liberia. Kpor town is a village, located about 40minutes drive out of Monrovia, a capital city of Liberia. There is no infrastructure for clean running water in Liberia. This open creek is the current source of drinking water in Kpor town. 800 million people globally lack access to safe water supply sources with 350 million people in Africa alone affected everyday. The health implications are staggering. 2 million people die every year due to water-borne diarrheal diseases, most of them children under the age of 5. The World Bank estimates that water-related illnesses kill more African children under age five than HIV/AIDS, malaria, and measles combined. Here is a quick video clip of close up of water from the open creek in Kpor town. The video was shot 6 days ago.
今リベリアのポアタウン(Kpor town) というところにお仕事できています。長く続いた内戦のため、リベリアには水道設備が整っておらず、ポアタウンの人たちはこの森の中の沼のような写真のように小川から飲料水を含む、生活用水をバケツで１日に何回も輸送して生活しています。私が撮影している団体はフェイスアフリカといい、ライベリアを主にサブサハラアフリカにて手漕ぎ井戸を建設しています。この ビデオは飲料水を含む生活用水源であるポータウンの小川のクロースアップです。世界では８億人の人々が綺麗な水へのアクセスがありません。その数はアフリカだけで３.５億人いるといわれています。毎年２億人の人々が清潔な水がないため、病気にかかり亡くなっています。汚い生活用水のためになくなる５歳以下の幼児の人口はエイズ、麻疹、マラリアを合わせた統計よりも多いという悲しい現実があります。

On December 8, 2013, I asked my friend and a drag queen Paulina to model for my Christmas card shoot. We were playing with ideas of a fun Xmas Shoot. Thank you for Paulina's input and collaboration, I am very happy with my last year's Xmas card.
Here is my Christmas card and photos I really liked, but did not make it through the cutting room. Which one DO YOU like the best? Did I make a right choice on my card? ;)

This is how it started: My friend Valerie took me to Jacques Cabaret in Boston one saturday evening, some time in 2007... many moons ago... That night, there, I saw amazing talents Destiny Boston, Lakia, Miss. Chris and Mizery on stage. I could not take my eyes off of them during their performance. I knew I wanted to photograph them. That was my way of expressing " I like your style".
Sometime I had taken years off from photographing them. But they have always remans at special part in my photographic heart. On and off, I have continued photographing them. Friendship have developed. Now I photograph them in color. But this is how it all started... Rolls of B & W film and every weekend in backstage at Jacqued Cabaret.

Alejandro Sanz in Boston
A few weeks ago, I photographed a Spanish musician, Alejandro Sanz at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He was in town to receive a honorary degree from Berklee, and he also played his music with the Berklee students.
It was a wonderful performance, and very nice seeing the interaction between Sanz and the students.
２週間ほど前、スペインのシンガーソングライター アレハンドロ サンツ氏が名誉学位をバークレー音楽学院で受領するのを撮影しました。そのあと、氏の音楽をバークレーの学生達による演奏、最後にサンツ氏も演奏に加わりフィナーレと、すばらしかったです。ステージの上での氏と若いバークレーの学生達とのやり取りも、私まで元気がもらえそうな、素敵な雰囲気をもって良かったです。
Alejandro Sanz receives an honorary degree from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA on November 6, 2013. The presentation followed with a concert showcasing his music as interpreted by Berklee students and faculty and also featured Sanz himself on selected songs.
